MUMBAI: ACEF Awards held its 7th edition last weekend. One of the awards organised for the media, ended on a good note for the radio industry. ACEF not only recognises best creative work by brands across industry, but also innovative customer engagement programs and BTL execution. With RJ of the year metro and RJ on the non-metro, the industry bagged various awards that evening.
RED FM network ruled the ACEF awards with 7 Gold, 6 Silver and 3 Bronze medals. Under the organisation award, RED FM won the Gold for the Best CSR Initiative of the year. The other Golds were won for Mumbai Khadde Mein for being the best effective campaign, Chaar Bottle Roz Ka for on ground amplification, Malishka Ko Matt Sunn for the best use of celebrity endorsement and RED FM Ka Thappa for best use of customer feedback.
In Silver category RED FM’s campaign Agle Show Teri Car Se was recognised for BTL promotions. MusiCom with Indian Ocean and Aisi Tesi Democracy which is the newest IP under RED LIVE (RED FM’s on ground property) won Silver for its effectiveness. Gumshuda Zebra Crossing also won the Silver for its creativeness along with PAD HABBIT for a successful use of CSR Activity. The other prominent entries from East that won silver at ACEF were Puri Traveller for creativity and Rickshaw Bandhan by RED FM - Jamshedpur for effective use of customer feedback.
RJ Raunac, RED FM’s No.1 RJ won the Radio Jockey of The Year (Bronze), while RED FM’s Kadak Launde and evening primetime jocks RJ Ashish and Kisna won the RJ Jodi of the Year (Gold).
Speaking on the wins at ACEF 2018, RED FM COO Nisha Narayanan said, "RED FM has transcended from being just a radio station to an entertainment brand which now delivers engaging content across radio, digital and on-ground formats. Winning these awards is a testament to our efforts and is extremely heartening.”
Radio Mirchi bagged 9 awards (1 Gold, 3 Silver, 5 Bronze) and Radio City won 8 awards (4 Gold, 3 Silver, 1 Bronze).
Last but not the least, the Best RJ of the year Metro was undoubtedly won by RJ Jeeturaaj from Radio Mirchi Mumbai and Best RJ of the year Non-Metro was won by RJ Devangana from FM Tadka, Jaipur.
